It's fascinating when the economies change thanks to disruptions in industries. The same is true for me when compared to earlier, now I visit a mall for groceries perhaps 2–3 times a year, as against 1–2 times a month. Another shift I have seen is when we used to visit 1–2 times a month the basket size was much larger both in the number of items and the total bill amount. But now the basket size is less but the frequency is more. I presume the former was due to the fact that since we visit once, we might as well everything together. But now, with 24 hours delivery why stack it beforehand, buy it whenever we need it.

Other factors like discounts, traffic and for sure convenience has played a massive role in this shift.
