Health & Charity
Can my losing weight benefit those less privileged who are not sure where their next meal will come from?
One of my goals of 2019 is to get fit and lose weight. Depending whom you ask, both are linked and yet both are mutually exclusive.
For me at this stage of my health, both are linked.
In 2017, my weight was hovering between 80–85.
At present 4th June 2019, my weight is 105. That's a MASSIVE 20 kgs addition in a span of 24 months. If its any worth, its been 105 past 6 months, which is a good sign as the increasing trend seem to have been stopped.
As a die-hard foodie, food IS my weakness. I am beginning to realize it can also be a cause for my early journey to heaven (yes am optimistic).
So since yesterday (3rd June 2019), I have decided to do something about it.
Been reading a lot about intermittent fasting, but since I have years of existing gastric problems, it may not suit me as is.
So I have made certain changes and trying to follow that —
- Eat only fruits for breakfast.
- Above will ensure I am hungry by 12:30–1 pm, lunch.
- Have something light around 4:30–5
- Wrap up dinner by 7:30–8.
- No sweets/desserts whatsoever from Monday — Friday. Fruits are ok.
- Exercise daily and walk 10k steps
Here I will update quarterly, how this is going, the challenges, the struggles, the victories.
Also, for every kg of weight loss, I will donate Rs. 1000 to charity. Will measure my weight every quarter.
If you have some suggestions on what kind of food I should eat what I should avoid, or have a meal plan (Indian vegetarian, no egg), please share it in the comments. It will help me and also help someone in need.
